Disabled Flying

The UBT has modified one of its K13 training gliders for use by people who don't have the use of their legs. The converted glider can be flown using just hand controls. The modifications were made possible by some generous donations to the club from local organisations.

The first disabled pilot to fly in the newly converted glider was Derek Young, who attended a one day course on 20th June 2009. He is pictured getting ready for his flight with Chief Flying Instructor Mike Clark.
